I’m Michelle. sarcastic asshole, movie nerd, music junky, and gym enthusiast.
About me. I’ve always struggled with these and I never know what to say. I come from a loud Italian family. I was born in NY and we moved to Arizona when I was 5. I moved across the country to Wilmington, NC for college. While the college part was short lived, I loved it out there so I stayed for about 4 years. I was going to school for Film Studies and Screen Gems Studios is located in Wilmington, so just the fact that I was living somewhere where movies and tv shows were filmed was super exciting for me. It’s still one of my favorite places and I made some of my closest friends in the time that I lived there. I moved back to Arizona, mainly after a death in the family and it was rough being so far away. I had no intention of staying here forever. I was dead set on being back for 2 years tops, but life changed and that didn’t happen. While I sometimes have some regrets about that, things worked out the way they were supposed to, as they usually do.
I work in the mortgage industry, so my wide eyed dreams of working on movie productions didn’t come true, but I still love them and all the behind the scenes magic that goes into it. I have always loved photography. I want to get back into that, as I’ve fallen away from taking pictures with my actual camera in this iPhone everything world. I recently acquired my dad’s camera from the 70s. It needs a few things fixed on it, but I’m hoping I can get it up and running soon. There is something nostalgic and magical about film cameras and actual printed photos that I’ve always had a soft spot for.
In the end of 2022, I started my weight loss ‘journey’ even though I hate that word/phrase, but it works haha. I’ve made a lot of progress and my life is already so much different than it was, it’s truly insane. I’ll talk more about that later on, but that is how the gym enthusiast part comes into play.
